One of the best deals in Madison comes every week from the First Unitarian Society (below) at 900 University Bay Drive, on Madison’s near west side near UW Hospital and Clinics. The Friday noon concerts are like a little parenthesis in time and help break up the day, especially if you can’t make it to a night-time event.
The FREE musicales, hosted by the Society’s music director Dan Broner (below) take place almost every Friday from October trough May from 12:15 to 1 p.m. in the original and historic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Landmark Auditorium (also below).
Bring your lunch and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and live music. The concerts are free of charge.

Oct. 5: Guitarist Joseph Spoelstra plays music of Brouwer, De Falla, Llobet, Poulenc and Sor.
Oct. 12: Flutist Dawn Lawler (below) and pianist Kirsten Ihde play music of Copland, Martinu and Handel.
Oct. 19: Music for Two Harps – Mary Ann Harr (below) and Linda Warren play music of Bach, Faure, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and Tournier.
Oct. 26: Halloween Highlights: Our 10th year! With Dan Broner, Sharon Brolin, Bob Buzecky, Dawn Hearn, Vicky Jones, Eva Wright and young friends.
