UW piano virtuoso Christopher Taylor scores big with Bach’s ‘Goldbergs’ in DC

Last Wednesday UW-Madison piano virtuoso Christopher Taylor (below) scored another critical success with J.S. Bach’s mammoth “Goldberg” Variations and the unusual two-manual piano that used to be played by longtime UW artist-in-residence Gunnar Johansen. Taylor_Chris_piano01

Taylor’s playing and interpretation even impressed the often critical and sometimes downright crusty Anne Midgette (below left), who used to write reviews for the New York Times and now writes for The Washington Post.
