Here are some more classical music gift guides for the holidays

A week ago Friday – on so-called Black Friday – I posted the classical music CD gift guide by the critics of the New York Times along with several other posts that list the Best CDs on the Month and The Best Classical CDs of 2010.

Since Black Friday and Cyber Monday (the on-line shopping equivalent of Black Friday) have passed, several other sources have weighted in. And with the shopping season well under way, it seems like a good idea to include some of them as “news you can use.”

Buy them for others or get them for yourself.

But you should also know that in coming days, I will again, like last year, offer some recommendations that include books and tickets to live performances coupled to recordings.
