Co-sponsored by First Unitarian Society of Madison and Madison Symphony Chorus. Unique singing events open to the community. Learn, rehearse, and perform .. .all in one night. Casual environment.
“MADISON SINGS!” EVENTS FOR SUMMER 2024
First three Tuesdays in August, 7:00-9:00. Attend one, two, or all three!
Aug. 6 — Haydn “Lord Nelson Mass”
Aug. 13 — Duruflé “Requiem” (You can hear the Fauré-like “Introit” performed by the Yale University Orchestra and Glee Club in the YouTube video at the bottom)
Aug. 20 — Handel “Messiah (excerpts)” *Scores will be provided, but participants who already own their own are encouraged to bring it

Scores available when you arrive (or bring your own). Brief vocal warm-up. Rehearse a choral masterwork. Culminates in a low-key “performance” (no audience).
